With the recent passage of Colorado HB25-1001, Colorado employers are now subject to greater scrutiny, liability, penalties, etc. for wage-and-hour missteps.  These issues also create increased concerns for supervisors who work directly with an organization’s employees.  So, to prepare organizations, owners, HR Directors, supervisors, etc.  for the upcoming changes, this meeting will cover issues from across the entire spectrum, including, not limited to: 

• Which laws cover which organizations?
• Which employees are required to receive overtime, and which aren’t?
• When can organization deduct from an employee’s wages?
• When can an organization treat a worker as an independent contractor?
• How can supervisors ensure that they aren’t subject to off-the-clock claims?
• Can we require an employee to take a break and/or meal period? 
• How to address timekeeping concerns with remote employees? 
• What are an organizations and its supervisors’ potential liability for these violations?  And many, many, more.
